About Anytime Fitness Sunway Big Box
Anytime Fitness Sunway Big Box operates out of unit FF-04 in the Sunway Big Box mall within Sunway Iskandar, on Persiaran Medini in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. It's part of the same international Anytime Fitness franchise system as several other listings in this directory, which means 24-hour keycard/app access for members alongside staffed hours for sign-ups, tours, and in-person support.
The club is notably accessible: the listing specifies a wheelchair-accessible entrance, wheelchair-accessible parking, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom, which is a more complete accessibility picture than most gyms in this list provide. Beyond that, there's a shower and general restroom on site, and the club offers both onsite and appointment-based services, again in keeping with how Anytime Fitness structures trials and personal training bookings. Parking is more member-friendly here than at some sister locations — both a free parking lot and free street parking are available, which is a genuine convenience for a mall-based gym. Payment methods are the standard set: credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments. Training here requires a membership, as with all Anytime Fitness clubs — there's no casual pay-as-you-go option.
On reputation, the numbers are solid: a 4.8 average rating from 310 reviews. That's a large enough sample, sustained at a high score, to represent a genuinely well-regarded club rather than a lightly-reviewed newcomer. It sits just a touch below some of the other Anytime Fitness locations in this set, but 310 reviews at 4.8 is still a strong, dependable track record by any normal standard.
For pricing, we checked the official franchise page for this club on anytimefitness.my. It does not publish a specific monthly rate or joining fee. The page does state plainly that "rates subject to change according to location of the club and current promotions/offers," which explains why no figure is posted — Anytime Fitness intentionally varies pricing by club and by ongoing promotion rather than listing a fixed national rate. The page directs interested members to join online through a signup portal, email the club directly, or take a 3-day free trial to see the facility and get a quote. Since no concrete number was available anywhere on the page, price tier is left unassigned rather than estimated.
Anyone weighing cost should treat the "join online" link or a direct phone call (+60 12-985 7924) as the fastest route to a real number, since Anytime Fitness pricing can shift with seasonal promotions that aren't reflected in any static page. The 3-day free trial is also a reasonable way to see the Sunway Big Box space, check out the free parking situation in person, and get a membership quote face to face before signing anything.
Being situated inside a large mall complex also means the gym benefits from the mall's own amenities and foot traffic, convenient for combining a workout with errands or a meal before or after training. As with the other Anytime Fitness clubs in this directory, the core offering is gym-floor access rather than a class-based program, so anyone looking for structured group classes specifically should confirm what, if anything, is scheduled at this club before signing up.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a risk of injury for beginners?
As with any strength-and-conditioning format, injury risk exists if movements aren’t scaled properly — a good box will actively coach form and scale loads for new members rather than pushing max effort early.
What’s the class size typically like?
Coached class sizes are usually kept smaller than a commercial gym floor for safety and coaching quality — exact caps vary by box.
Is there parking at Anytime Fitness Sunway Big Box?
Yes, per their Google Business Profile: free parking lot, free street parking — at least one free option is listed. Worth double-checking during peak hours since availability isn’t guaranteed.
Is it more expensive than a regular gym?
Coached CrossFit typically costs more than a standard gym membership since every session is programmed and supervised — confirm current rates with Anytime Fitness Sunway Big Box directly.
How many people have reviewed Anytime Fitness Sunway Big Box?
310 Google reviews at a 4.8 average — a substantial sample for a venue in this category, which is a fair signal of a consistent, established track record.
Is Anytime Fitness Sunway Big Box open 24 hours?
Yes — this location is listed as open 24 hours on its Google Business Profile, though staffed front-desk hours may still be limited. Worth confirming if you're relying on staff assistance outside normal business hours.
